No doubt February is the busiest month for my channel. I’ve hardly posted any news concerning the new 2016 releases and already stats are going through the roof! As you would know, the New York Toy Fair begins today, and as per norm, Hasbro releases information regarding this year’s new toy releases. So I’m back with a a lot of product info, never-seen-before blaster images and, of course, speculation regarding the more interesting blasters. Buckle down, 2016’s going to hit our wallets hard.

This little pistol has got me intrigued. It has a flattened plunger tube, which would mean a flattened spring. Nevertheless, it’s a squashed Jolt, with more or less the same performance.

Answering the biggest flaws of the Cam ECS-12, the Battlescout is surely an interesting blaster. It features a 720p HD camera (although I highly doubt doubt it has quality optics), an integrated clip (meh), and a really cool looking angled pump grip. With improved video quality and no background rev-up noise, it might be a fun blaster for younger nerfers, but anybody older than 15 knows the limitations of a tactical rail attachment and a cheap camera.

Excited doesn’t sum up my feelings right now, because this is going to change everything. A pump action Rival shotgun. Take a moment to process that. Its no big surprise that I love springers, and this is one springer that is the manifestation of my dream blaster. High velocity projectiles, now double ’em up. I’m not sure if it’s a side-by-side or an over-and-under shotgun blaster, but what I know is that it comes with 24 rival rounds, so its undoubtedly using 2 magazines.Expect universal acclaim when it is released.

It’s a manual Rhino-fire, just a lot more practical. Those 12 dart clips look really cool, and the overall aesthetic value of the blaster is really high, sans the stock, or as I call it, a cheese block. Even if its a magazine storage stock, there’s no point in making it so thick. hope the manufacturers give a fair explanation for that during the Toy Fair.

Okay, wow. A Stryfe SMG with a ridiculously cool paintjob and such beautiful aesthetics. You’ll be hard pressed not to pick it up when you find one. The 10 dart banana mag is not practical but just look at it! I’m really digging the new look of these Doomlands magazines, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

It’s a redesigned Spectre. As much as I like the design of the new Doomlands blasters, the longer profile doesn’t seem to help the Longarm’s cause. Also, that name. We could live with Strongarm, now Longarm?
Nerf Alien Menace
You heard it right, Alien Menace. Nerf’s new line of blasters, although representing an advanced alien look, will take you back to the good ol’ 90’s designing, reminiscent of the Airjet line, only a lot more reliable. The smooth curved body with contrasting jagged panels is so retro, you won’t be surprised if veteran nerfers mistaken it for a vintage blaster. Let’s see what they bring to the table!
